Foi realizada uma recepção no Laranjal, no Palácio de Fredensborg em homenagem aos 80 anos de S.A.R. o Príncipe Consorte. Na recepção estiveram presentes, S.M. a Rainha Margrethe II, S.A.R. o Príncipe-Herdeiro Frederik, S.A.R. a Princesa-Herdeira Mary e S.A.R. a Princesa Elizabeth, além de várias autoridades. O Príncipe-Consorte foi presenteado com uma pintura pelo artista Mikael Melbye.
